Guidelines for submitting cards for grading

Step 1: Sleeve + Cardsaver
Each card must be placed in a softsleeve/pennysleeve and then in a cardsaver/toploader. There are a number of different types of sleeves and cardsavers, and we accept that you use most options. Please note that when we send the cards to PSA, the cards must be in a transparent sleeve and cardsaver (not a toploader), so if you send cards to us in a non-transparent sleeve and/or toploader, we will switch the card to the correct sleeve and cardsaver.
We will change to the correct sleeve and cardsaver free of charge, but to minimize handling and risk, we always recommend that you send the cards in a transparent sleeve and cardsaver.

Step 2: Inner packaging
Once your cards are safely and securely placed in sleeves and cardsavers, they need to be packaged for shipping. We recommend that you stack the cards in one or more stacks and secure them between two cardboard sheets. The cardboard sheets can be secured to each other with either tape or rubber bands. We do not recommend taping/using rubber bands directly on the cardsavers; use cardboard in between! If you do not have cardboard available, you can also use a team bag/bread bag to stack and secure the cards.
There are many options to choose from at this stage, and several methods can be equally good. The most important thing at this stage is to ensure that the cards do not move during transport.

Step 3: Outer packaging
Once the cards are secured against movement, the next step is to wrap them in a suitable layer of protective packaging. You can use either bubble wrap or paper (newspaper/wrapping paper) or similar. The cards must then be packed in a sturdy cardboard box for shipping, and you should use a proper box that is intended for shipping.
When closing the box, it is important that you seal it properly with tape; tape once too much rather than once too little. This also applies if you are using mailboxes with a locking flap; always tape over the flap!

Step 4: Order shipping and send the package
Once you have finished packing, the next step is to order shipping. We require that all shipments of cards for grading are sent to us as tracked shipping. You can choose which carrier you want to use. We recommend using Norgespakken from Posten or Pakke from Postnord as these options have both tracking and insurance included.
We also recommend ordering shipping online as this gives you the opportunity to enter our phone number when ordering. We will then automatically receive a notification that the package is on its way to us. If you purchase shipping via Post in a store/Post office, we recommend that you send us an email with the tracking number on the package so that we can collect your package as quickly as possible.
