PSA Grading

LABOGE AS is an authorized dealer of PSA's grading services, and this means that we are approved as an intermediary for submitting collectibles for grading on behalf of our customers!

  • The process starts with you selecting the cards you want to grade, and ordering grading for them here in the online store.

When choosing the right level for grading, it is important to find the correct value for the cards you submit.

How to choose the right level
  • Once you have selected cards and ordered grading, the cards must be packaged properly and sent to our reception.

To avoid damage and loss, cards must always be sent via tracked shipping, and packaged in a safe and secure manner.

    Submission guidelines
  • When we receive your package, we document the cards you have sent and register them in the PSA system.

Once registration is complete, the cards are sent to PSA for grading. Processing time will vary depending on the workload.

  • Once the grading is complete, the cards are returned to us, and we review and document the return on stream.

Once the return has been reviewed and approved, the fully graded cards will be packed and returned to you!

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

What is grading?

Collectible grading is a process of authenticating and assessing the condition of a collectible.

Who is PSA?

PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) is the market leader in grading collectibles. You can read more about PSA on their website .

How long does the grading take?

The processing time for grading will vary depending on both the workload and the service level at which the cards are submitted.

As of now, the processing time at the lowest levels is 65 working days at PSA, and then there is shipping to and from PSA in addition.

What is an "upcharge" and do I risk getting this on my cards?

PSA operates with several price levels for submission based on the card's expected value after grading. If PSA, after grading, sees that one or more cards have a value above the level they were submitted at and therefore should have been submitted at the next level, then you will receive an "upcharge" which means that you must pay the difference in the grading cost to the correct level.

It is not always easy to know what value the card will have after grading as you do not know what grade the card will receive, so when choosing a level for submission you simply have to make the best educated guess possible.

Are the cards insured on their way to and from PSA?

To PSA:
When you order grading, you have the option to choose the desired insurance amount. We will then insure your cards for this amount when they are sent to PSA. Current prices and terms for insurance can be found on the grading product page.

From the PSA:
When the cards are returned from PSA, they are insured up to the amount corresponding to the grading level they were submitted at through PSA's insurance.

Is there a risk that my cards could be mixed with other people's cards during joint submission?

No, fortunately not.
Both we and PSA have good routines for receipt and documentation, and upon receipt by us, your cards will receive a number and position in the submission that follows the card throughout the entire process.

In other words, you can submit cards in a specific order, and they will then be graded and returned in the same order.

My cards have a higher value than the service levels you offer, what do I do?

As standard, we offer the most common service levels, but there is nothing stopping you from sending cards at a higher level. Contact us at support@laboge.no and we will help you!
